"Time is a lot of the things people say that God is. There's the always preexisting, and having no end. There's the notion of being all powerful--because nothing can stand against time, can it? Not mountains, not armies. And time is, of course, all healing. Give anything enough time, and everything is taken care of: all pain encompassed, all hardships erased, all loss subsumed. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Remember, man, that thou art dust; and unto dust thou shalt return. And if Time is anything akin to God, I suppose that Memory must be the Devil." -D.G
DISCLAMER: I don't own *NSYNC or Justin Timberlake, JIVE records, or anything else affiliated with the boys. All of my stories are works of fiction. I do own all original characters, plots, etc. Please don't steal my stuff!
Sequel to Raw Intimacy-“You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”
After three years, Justin Timberlake and Bethany Addison are still going strong. It seems like the world is finally spinning in the right direction for them. Unfortunately, they assumed that the only thing that could come between them would be from the outside. An unexpected turn in their relationship threatens to ruin everything they have accomplished. Subjects that should have been broached beforehand are now coming up with no solution is sight. Can love survive when love is what’s tearing them apart?
I’ve really got to ask, what makes you so much different than me? Is it the way in which you comb your hair, or the fact that you get dressed in front of him each morning? Because I can’t seem to understand, as far as I’m concerned there should be no question as to who he should be with, yet, there he stands, arm around you, comfortable as can be.
Then there’s me.
Justin Timberlake has had everything he could ever dream of at his fingertips for most of his life. But with fame comes a price...his privacy. After spending years in the spotlight, constantly abused in the public eye, he's had enough. A trip to rekindle a sense of self leaves Justin with much more than he ever bargained for.
Taylor Jordan has spent her entire life on the slopes, pushing and training for the one thing that only the elite achieve...a gold medal at the Olympics. Her winter training session is suddenly disrupted when a certain superstar shows up in her life and on her slopes.
What happens when these two forces collide?
Every day we make choices that change the course of our lives. Every minute choice leads to another which leads to where you are standing today. Some choices are the best, and the other... well other are simply a necessary part of the process.
Everyone's happily ever after, isn't a fairytale, it's a journey.
One choice, one decision, changes everything.
Sometimes one night changes everything.
Though never explicitly voiced, the knowledge of her friends and family’s disapproval of the man she loved persuaded Gemma Porter to deny his request to elope at the age of twenty and caused his subsequent and abrupt move out of town. Five years later, a now wealthy and successful Justin Timberlake returns, and by the most unfortunate of events, Gemma continuously finds herself in his presence. Her friends and family don’t remember him, Justin jokes with her as if she hadn’t broken his heart, and most importantly, Gemma must come to terms with the fact that she may still be in love with him.
Always the bridesmaid, never the bride; always the best friend, never the girlfriend; always ‘one of the guys’, never ‘the one’; by the time I was 18 I knew that I had to get used to being second best, at everything. So can you imagine how my life changed when he decided that second best wasn’t good enough for me anymore? Yeah that’s right, he decided for me that I wasn’t going to settle for anything less than what I ‘deserved’.
